Yavin
Base
Rebel ground transports can be seen in Yavin Base before the Battle
of Yavin in A New Hope. I wanted to make as accurate a
transport as I could in mini-fig scale, which was pretty difficult
at the scale with having to keep as much of the shape and details
as I could. The entirety of the sides and back are SNOT, compliments
of 1x1 headlight bricks set in the interior. The 1x2 grill bricks
in the back are pearly silver, though the pictures don't show it
too well. It's driven by Rebel
Ground Crew and seats up to four people in the back.
Echo Base/Home One
This version of the Rebel ground transport can be seen throughout
Echo Base in The Empire Strikes Back and on Admiral
Ackbar's Rebel flagship Home One in Return of the
Jedi. All the sides are SNOT, using hinges for the eight angled
sections and technic bricks with 1/2 pins for the 1x4 tiles and
front and back. This was a lot easier than the first Rebel ground
transport as it's basically just a box, but I still got as much
detail into it as I could. Below
are pictures of an Echo Base transport (driven by a
Rebel Soldier) and a Home One transport (driven by
Rebel
Ground Crew). It fits up to six people in the back.
