Taun-taun's are creatures based on the sixth planet (if memory serves this author correctly) of the Hoth system, as seen in The Empire Strikes Back. Their services aided the Rebel Alliance in scouting the area around their base and getting mauled and eaten by another indigenous specie to the planet; the wampa. This MOC actually went together pretty quickly, at least for me, at about an hour and a half from the crazy idea of it to the final product. Motivation to actually put it on the site took a little longer at about a third of a year.
