The rancor served
as entertainment in Jabba the Hutt's palace as seen in Return
of the Jedi. Unfortunately for the rancor, Luke
Skywalker happened to show up at his pad, leaving the creature
at a bit of a disadvantage. This MOC was a long time in the making;
I originally built it two years before releasing it, rebuilding
it sporadically but always getting stuck on the legs. Thanks to
a small bout of good luck I was able to finish the legs to my liking,
managing a good deal of SNOT construction along the way. The arms
use ball joints to move up and down, and pivot on a single stud
connection. Aside from that, there isn't any articulation, but I
was going for looks over functionality on this one. I've included
two pictures of a quick rancor pit with some yummy treats... Mmm,
bacon!
